All of my Nephews are wonderful! This blog goes out to Kyle, Dean, Collin, Cole, and Owen.

They all have their own personality. But I love them all and I enjoy the time I get to share with all of them.

The sun goes down...

When the sun goes down, it always comes back up, eventually. You have to go through sunsets to get to a sunrise. I am in the middle of a sunset in my life. Both jobs, which I love, are at sunset. But the sun always rises on the other side.

Once my wife and I opened our lives to choose adoption, God opened other opportunities for us. My main focus is having God, my family, and my health as number one priorities in my life. Since I’ve done that, I now have a full time job only 15 minutes from my house verses 45 minutes for my last job. I get to do music as a full time job. I used to sell music equipment but now I get to use my talent as a musician. I never looked for this new job, it just happened. It was meant to be. We started the adoption process by doing the application. I sent it in the same day I accepted the new job. I also sent it from the post office in that town. Things are about to change for me and my family...change for the better!

It’s Time to Add to the Family

Life is a journey! Life is also meant to be shared. We’ve been trying to have kids for the last few years and we will add to our family...no matter what. Maybe it is in the cards for us to adopt. If that’s the case, we are going to start the process. It’s all in God’s Plan. I just need to know how to read the signs that lead us to the correct place. If we are supposed to have our own children, it will happen during the adoption process. I’ve come to one conclusion...it’s not in my hands. What’s meant to be will be and I will enjoy the ride.

Double Gig Weekend

Laura and I did two gigs this weekend. The first was on Thursday, August 7th. We played an hour at the pavilion in Bethel, PA. I wasn’t “on” for the show and we weren’t as organized as I like to be. But all in all, it was fine and we sounded great. The second was on Sunday, August 10th. We played a 45 minute show for St. Paul’s UCC picnic. We did get organized for this one and we had a great time. We had some songs that could involve the kids playing egg shakers. At the end, they told us we could keep playing all day. In fact, they booked us for next year. I guess they approved of us and the job we did.

Lesson learned...the better organized, the smoother the gig goes.

It’s a Lily Summer

Oh, the joys and the challenges of raising a new puppy. Lily is the newest addition to our family. We did buy her as “Tippy” from a small dog pet store. It’s just one of those things you do in life, and in the end, it’s better for all of the parties involved. We now say that we rescued her. She’s had a few health issues which we are resolving with the vet. She has turned out to be a great and loving addition to our family.
